Tips on Tuesday #4

Hey guys! I have another Tips on Tuesday for you all! Again I apologize for the lack of new posts, but things are beginning to die down so I will be ale to post more! Ok so lets get to it!

1. Reapplying your top coat daily and avoiding fast-drying nail polishes will
increase your nail polish length.

2. To remove nail stains, soak nails in 1/2 cup of water and juice of one lemon for up to 15 minutes or soak in hydrogen peroxide or 5-10 minutes. This works great or all your hair colorists who hate to wear gloves when you color! You can also use whitening toothpaste, just brush your nail for a few minutes!

Huh..who knew you could use whitening toothpaste?

3. Apply the nail polish in several THIN coats instead of thick ones.
This is extremely important if you are using any kind of crackle or shatter. You will want to use ONE very thin coat.

4. After applying a second coat of nail polish, skim the brush across the top of your nail tip to prevent chipping.
I thought this idea was brilliant!

Inspirational Ideas: Reindeer Food

Hey guys! So for Christmas (yes I know it was a while ago) I got a Lindt Chocolate reindeer from my friend! It was so cute and was very hard to eat (I managed to do it though :)..hehe). It was wrapped in gold foil with a red collar and I was thinking...hmmm...I bet that would be a cool combination of colors! Sooooo...I looked up red and gold nail polishes with this handy-dandy thing called Google; and found this really pretty Zoya color! It is called Kimmy!

Tips on Tuesday! #3

Hey guys! So once again I apologize for not posting, but I have been super busy lately! I have another Tips on Tuesday for you all! Enjoy!

P.S. Feel free to ask any questions you have in the comments! I will use them for next weeks tips!

1.Base coats should dry matte, sticky, and fast.

2.Top coats should dry shiny and slow.

3.Bubbles in your nail polish are caused by insufficient drying time between coats. You must allow each polish coat to dry sufficiently to avoid bubbles.
My mom used to always complain about that! I find that if you do one coat on every finger, on both hands, then go back and do a second coat, that is enough time.

Tips on Tuesday! #2

Hey everyone! I am SO sorry for not blogging lately, but I have been very busy! So here is my Tips on Tuesday!

1. Dab nails with a cotton ball soaked in nail polish remover.
This will clean your nails to ensure a better bond between the polish and your nail.

2. Use a white plastic cutting board to paint your nails on.
I use this idea (my mom came up with it) to prevent nail polish from getting on my bathroom counter! I also swatched and labeled all of my salon nail polishes on it! It looks really cool and it is fun to swatch new colors! The cutting board makes it easy to store and take places too!

3. It is ok to use acetone nail polish removers on real nails.
Some people think that nail polish removers with acetone in them will weaken your nails. They are WRONG (sorry...that was kinda harsh :) oops!) non-acetone nail polish removers are really just for fake and acrylic nails. Acetone is fine on natural nails!
